Happy Wednesday!

Today in ELA, students worked to identify common characteristics of short stories.  By reviewing several picture books, students determined that the central problem is always connected to the main character.  Story problems (plot) are usually introduced early within the story and are regularly solved after some character struggle.

Students then applied their knowledge of story ‘problems’ to create their own story ideas based on a provided picture prompt.
