Happy Tuesday!
Today we started our guided reading
and students were placed in small groups and provided with a different text.
Guided reading groups help students to establish fundamental skills necessary
for proficient reading. They help to identify and strengthen specific skills,
improve attention to detail, build fluency, expand vocabulary and develop
reading comprehension skills. Students
will work within their group 2-3 times a week over the next several
months.
In science today, students
learned about the generation, transmission and distribution of
electricity. Students learned about the
various power sources of electricity within Canada, and all of the stages necessary
for electricity to be available in our homes.
