Happy Friday!
Our school nurse visited
today and delivered a presentation on the importance of sleep habits and the impact
sleep has on our personal well-being and learning. Student’s learned the do’s & don’ts in regards
to preparing for bed, as well as learned strategies to help them fall asleep faster and longer.
The most important two points
of our presentation included:
1.
Eliminating electronic
devices one hour before bedtime as screen lights reduce the amount of melatonin
produced in our bodies (which we need to sleep).
2.
Having a regular
nighttime routine and bedtime. A consistent routine helps to regulate our
mind and body to prepare us for sleep.
