We are now starting our unit on Poetry, and students will take part in creating their own poetry anthology. As part of this unit, we will also look to incorporate figurative language and the study of music lyrics.

During Language Arts today, students were encouraged to dive into Poetry! They had access to a variety of poetry anthologies and poetic picture books, and worked with small groups reading aloud the various words and rhythms. Students also marked or recorded lines and phrases which they felt evoked emotion and imagery.
We are now starting our unit on Poetry, and students will take part in creating their own poetry anthology. As part of this unit, we will also look to incorporate figurative language and the study of music lyrics.
