Today in math, students looked at various contexts in which computational estimation is used and when overestimating is important - especially when shopping! Students practiced front-end estimation for determining sums and differences, along with explaining how they adjust their strategy to determine a closer estimate.

In science, students learned the steps of a criminal investigation along with the process rationale.  Our next steps in our investigation unit is to determine how fingerprint evidence is used to link a suspect to the scene.

Don’t forget that Thursday is our Potluck Picnic. Families are asked to bring their own family beverages along with a topping that can be shared. The school will provide the potatoes, salad, and plates. See you there!
