Spelling:
Today, we had our last spelling group begin their designated word sort. Both the Animal Dragons and the Scoop Troop have received their spelling lists, and the Oompa Loompa group will receive theirs this week.
The spelling tests are scheduled for:
Animal Dragons: Monday, September 30th
Scoop Troop: Wednesday, October 2nd
Oompa Loompa: Monday, October 8th
If you did not receive a list home. Please let me know.
ELA:
Students are beginning to
finish up their personification poems in English Language Arts. Their goal was
to apply human characteristics to objects in nature as a means to enhance the
meaning and imagery of a text. We’ll
next be looking at incorporating similes and metaphors into our poetic writing next.
