Hello Grade 5/6 Families,
Today in math class, students
had the opportunity to complete calculations and compare theoretical
probability with experimental probability as they played a dice game. Students
had to determine the ‘risk’ of keeping their points or trying to decrease their
score by continuing to roll. The game allowed the students a great opportunity
to practice probability theory and subtraction simultaneously.
In science, students reviewed
the components of a circuit and related vocabulary. They are now using their
knowledge and understanding of simple circuitry to build an instructional and
informative reference in their visual journal.
