Happy Monday,
Today, students started the African Dance Residency, and began learning the steps to a very energetic routine, which they will be performing at next week’s Winter Celebration.
In science today students had the opportunity to build electromagnets. After completing their procedure, experiment and findings, students had the opportunity to make connections and propose future questions.
Connections:
N.B. ~ Laptops get warm on the bottom the more you use it, like the battery we used.
L.S. ~ It reminds me of a tv episode which explained why birds do not get electrocuted on wires.
L.G. ~ It reminds me of the crane that picks up cars.
Questions:
A.H. ~ Why does the battery get hot?
A.S. ~ How many electromagnets can you make with one battery?
A.C. ~ What materials might make the magnet stronger?
